The Moon Menu Calendar has been created using information from Lara Briden's book Period Repair Manual, Nicole Jardims book Fix Your Period and my experience as a certified functional health cycle coach. The inner season's analogy originates from the Red School philosophy and the phase names; dream, do, give and take come from Lucy Peach book and podcast Period Queen.
Eating for your cycle and fertility doesn't have to be complex and it doesn't have to be phase-specific either. My aim is to simplify the whole process.
The Moon Menu Calendar is the first of its kind to take into account important nutrients for fertility and hormones that should be eaten all month long while also giving some suggestions for specific foods and cooking strategies that vary according to the phases of the cycle. The outer ring of the calendar details the characteristics of each phase with self-care prompts.
